23 May: Llanes

Walked around 24 kms today from Bustio to Llanes (pronounced yah-ness) in variable weather. Expecting 25deg and light winds we encountered sun, showers, strongish coastal winds and temperatures of much less.

Countryside lovely- tracks and lanes reminded us of parts of Queen Charlotte, and, well, we are used to wind!

Looking out at the Atlantic Ocean from our hotel room. It is pretty wild out there.

    1. Interestingly we are only seeing elderly people in the villages. No people of working age or kids. This we have found stunning.

  2. Hi Gals, Carol P in Martinborough here. Glad to see all that you are experiencing. Typically it was Angela Wilson requiring medical treatment! Good following up with sound medical advice though - keep sampling those wines! Looking forward to seeing the rest of your adventures, keep it up! More vineyards & cafes to pass surely!!
