May 20 Comillas

Walked 24 kms from Santallana, largely off-road through farms, country lanes and village streets, until we reached the Atlantic Ocean and Comillas settled on the hill. We saw many of the 'peregrines' we've already met along the way as well as some new ones .

Small villages with their wonderful churches to the larger towns with their palaces and monasteries - everything is historic and beautiful.

We sat in the sun at the end of the day drinking vino tinto with fellow Caminos from Holland, France, Wales, United States, Portugal and Australia. What an amazing experience we are all having!
